My element is Silver, which chemical symbol is Ag. Silver has the highest electrical conductivity of any metal, and has the highest thermal conductivity. Silver is a solid and a white transition metal. Silver is a precious metal, and is used to make jewerly, ornaments, silverware, and coins. It is also used to create mirrors, which are all around us. Silver is stable in pure air and water, and it is harder than gold.

My element is Mercury, and Mercury is one of few elements that is a liquid at room temperature. Mercury is a metal but does not take the shape of a solid like many other metals at room temperature. Mercury can most commonly be seen in thermometers and batteries. It’s common in these because of it’s form and is classified as a transitionmetal which relates it’s make-up to these other metals.

Arsenic is one of the 11 metaloids on the periodic table and is a solid at room temperature. Arsenic is known to have a boiling point of 1137℉ and a melting point of 1502.6℉. To the eye, arsenic seems harmless with its “metallic grey” color. However, arsenic is known to be harmful to humans as well as animals and is commonly used in everyday rat poisons. Not only is arsenic used in poison, but it is also used as an electrical conductor.
